I love going on trips!

I don’t love feeling like I can’t up and go because I don’t have the money set aside for it.

So I set out to find an easy way to save money to go to new and beautiful places. I recently spent a week off at Disney World, and a few months before that I was at the beach. I didn’t take one penny from my checking account to pay for these trips.

How did I do it?

Through one of my favorite money saving apps, Qapital.

This app saves your money for you. It helps you set a financial goal and then sets aside small increments of money. You don’t notice the $.50 here or $3.00 there, until you look and see that you have saved more money in small chunks than most do trying to set aside a specific amount each month. So no more excuses that you can’t go here or you can’t buy that thing because you don’t have the money set aside.

How does it work ?

You open an account, you link your bank account, set savings goals, add some personalized rules for saving and bam. Qapital kicks in and does the work of saving towards your goals for you.

In the last few years Qapital has a helped me set aside over $12,000.

The rules for saving I have set are :

* Round up to the nearest $3

* Save $5 when I walk 5,000 steps

* 52 week rule (1st week you save $1, 2nd week you save $2 and so on)

Qapital takes your money in small increments, and they will never take out more than what you have in there. If for any reason your linked bank account is low, your Qapital account will be put on hold as to never overdraft your account. You also can access your money in your Qapital savings account at any time and deposit straight back in to your linked bank account.

I have loved using this app and seeing my Qapital account, which I named “Oh the places I’ll go”, grow from a few dollars to a few thousand. Join me in setting aside your ‘spare change’ to save towards your goals.

If you click here, you will receive a $5 signup bonus once your account is set up and you’re ready to save towards your goals. Thanks to Qapital, you can become a badass money saving wizard too.
